Buying used rims

Buying used rims
I'm going to look at a set of used 19's with tires..what do i need to look out for before i decide to buy them other than visible condition. If there's a bent rim, will i be able to see it with the tires on?

Depends -- sometimes the bend is so minor you can't see it, most times it's fairly obvious. Only way to really ensure the structural integrity is 100% intact is to get the wheels and tires balanced.
Another thing I would check for other than the obvious rust/cracks is make sure the lug bores aren't all messed up.

Cracks =u need to remove the tire off the rim and look in the center of the rim and to the sides of it.
bent= look at the lips and see if they are bent from inside and from outside, otherwise, u will be leaking air.
some people dont care about rims and they hit pot holes left and right and when u try to get them balanced, they wont be balanced 100 %.
if u dont mind me asking how much are u paying ????

the guy wants 650 for them and they came off of a c240. i was guna go look at them tomorrow and see if i can get him down a little..the rears need new tires, but the fronts are new. i'm just skeptical about not being able to see what the condition of the rims are under the tires.

I personally would get NEW rims.. that is me.. even though i got mine used but i took from a friend who i trusted a lot and is paranoid about his car even with a fingerprint on it....
