99CLK320,
you don't really have to do anything unless you want to have a custom tune done on your ECU which I am told is quite expensive. Williams007 is having that done as we speak however, he is in Japan, however, however, Powerchip in the US is the parent company of the Japanese company.

THANK YOU as i live in the Philippines and imported my clk320 here, i think it is imposable to have my ECU tuned unless i took it to Mercedes in manila the only dealer in the P.I. 400km away from were i am, and i would hate to guess how much that would cost !!!

99CLK320,
russ, I was referring specifically to having your car at a tuner's shop where they could tweak the ECU then do a dyno test and continue to tweak and dyno test until they have the optimum tune job for the addition of your headers. you can pull the ECU out yourself and send/mail it insured to any of the chip tuners out there like Powerchip, Inmotionusa etc to have it remapped to the specific octane fuel you use but will probably not make any allowances for your headers. That is what I did and my 320 ran better and I got better mileage before I installed some short tube headers. Its not hard at all to pull it out however, you would be without your car for the time it would take to send it out and back. FedEx would probably be the quickest and safest way to go. I don't believe the MB dealership will help you with this issue.
