Replacing OEM front brake pads ?

Since i bought my CLK 3 months now i been happy overall with the car , but one issue keeps bothering me. Brake dust on front wheels. I think i will be replacing pads and i would like to find out what should i replace them with. Any suggestion ? Rotors are stock. Maybe Hawk ?

Pads from dealer are soft but quiet, DUST is normal with those pads.

Now u can go with some ceramic but sometime they will squeak so u know

I just replaced all my pads with EBC Red Stuff both front and back. Im really happy with them. They barely squeak but from what I was told they squeaky noise should stop at about 1500-2000 miles. Even if it does not stop, I can barely hear it as it happens only when the pads are cold at startup plus they hold like crazy.. and barely any brake dust.

OK.....dirty wheels, but just replaced the original factory fronts at 70,000 miles (just PM, warning light never came on) with new factory pads, the rears were only half worn.

All rotors are still well within factory specifications.

Go figure.

I went with the Porterfield's and they started squeaking, really annoying. No dust though. Switched to Akebonos and haven't had a problem since

Well i think i am going to get Akebonos. So far things done : 35% tints , 8000K HID's , blue running lights , 8000k high beam lights ( not hid's ) to match HId's , yellow fogs. Next upgrade i hope will be wheels , most likely 18's. Still deciding between chrome and brushed. Kind of tired of cleaning chromes.

Now , someone kind of likes my car , its very clean ,2nd owner , mint interior ( Black leather ), silver shiny paint outside and asked if it was for sale. I had car for 3 months and i just started enjoying it but when money comes up , i am always open to offers. So for 2001 CLK320 coupe , just turned 118k miles ( bought it at 112k ) in lets say very good condition , what would be market value on this car. In last year or so , used car value has gone up at least 15 to 20 % up due to a banks refusing to do financing to average credit.

So fair price in your opinion ? sorry no pics now

Pads are on the way so i hope i have them done over the weekend. I think $8500 is very fair , Nada retail shows $10K
