The CLK design doesn't give allot of room for wider rims and over size tires?
Just wondering,

Some serious fender and body work. We are trying to get the 265s up front and something like 295s, 305s or 315s on the rear.

I thought it might take a little more than that?
Like relocating the Springs and shocks towers.
Not to mention interior redesign. But after seeing your car, that's not going to be a problem.
Can't wait to feel the ground vibrate!
Later,

It might take more than that, but, the suspension is being custom built anyway, so, whatever it takes. I'll be the guinea pig.

It seems as if 90% of your car is being custom built. IE: The Body Engine, Suspension, Interior, Electrical components.. Can you even label it a CLK anymore? When it is done, im pretty sure it will not be one. Any ideas on the name your going to give it?

Most people try to keep their cars as original as possible for obvious resale value. But if that is not an issue, any body shop can do a decent fender mod. I have done it before on my other cars. A little bit of cutting, lifting, welding, bonding and repainting involved....and you are done!
