8.5 wide is good, you now need to know the offsets. Safe offsets are Front 35-38et anything bigger than 38et you will need spacers to push them out away from the bolt on the control arm; Rear 32-38et are safe numbers.

If you going to drop it, 9.5 will not work without rolling the fenders.
Best in the front is 8.5j and rear 10j

I would love to see what those rims would look like if you painted the round portion to match your car. That might be t8iit.

Ahhh, your set up completely slipped my mind. I should have said that CHEAP chrome wheels look like *****. You have to admit though, whenever you hear someone wanting to put some chrome 20's on their benz, 90% of the time its some $1000 setup with with some ebay tires (reference post #2) I do apoligize to the 10% that spend the money to do it right. . Nice comeback It's all good.

In the beginning I posted pictures of the two chrome rims I was looking at purchasing and even before I had it on the car everyone was telling me how stupid I am and Chrome is Ghetto, and played out, etc., etc., I got no love at all.

Customizing does not come cheap, that ability and the individual custom choices made are limited to their financial situation so I could never down someone for what ever they choose to do. I'd rather see someone do something than nothing at all. I wish I had the kind of money that Opalw208 to be at that level to customize my ride.

We are always trying to find the negative in something instead of promoting the positive, from media, to business, to even social groups. Every chance I get I try to have a positive impact or influence on who every I cross paths with in my life and when I'm thanked for that I just ask them to do the same for someone else.

To each their own. 20 inch rims on a CLK are just too damn big for my taste but don't knock others. What I like others may not and vice versa. On another note how wide of tires can you get on the back with the 20's? I have heard people with 245's in the front get rubbing.

I have seen a few people pull of 20" on a CLK and make it look good. IMO the wheels jreddyroc had on before look 100 times better than the chromes. To each their own.

LOL, hey brother if you like it thats all that matters in this crazy world, I'm personally not a fan of chrome wheels but doesnt mean they dont look good, look at William707's car he is running 20" chrome and i think his car is one of the cleanest CLKs i have ever seen. So dont be upset. If you are happy with your wheels thats all that matter. But as for the comment on the women and all that stuff it is really unnecessary brother. everyones car here looks good because it is done to their unique taste. and i'm sure if you see a couple of these cars in person or even pictures of them you would never make that statement. Enjoy your new wheels.

Haha, i think they're a'ight. Not my favs, but not bad.

Reminds me of my brother w/ his 04 GTO. He put some sick 20's on his car and all the ppl on the forum were like "dont do it! 20's are GHETTO, you'll ruin it" etc. But then he took some pics and everyone started buying 20's Here's his car:
