Just received a letter from MB USA announcing that, effective 1/1/2011, their Roadside Assistance program will now cover free towing to the nearest authorized MB dealership for owners who experience a mechanical issue or are involved in an accident.

There are two conditions.

Your vehicle has been regularly serviced by a dealership (e.g. a single transaction of at least $100 during the last 18 month prior to the roadside call).

You purchased your vehicle directly from a dealership prior to 1/4/2011 and you are still the owner.

I read the announcement as either/or the above.
