i paid $300,authentic amgs.they have 245/45 in the front and 265/40 in the rear.dont know whether i should just put the front tires on the rears and some normal ones in the front.front wheels are 18x8.5 and rears are 18x9.need to know whether its worth the trouble of making them fit.also the car is dropped on h&r springs.

thats a great price! i am jealous. was it a private sale or online? I am running a 265/30 on my 19s in back. had some rubbing without the spacer though.

99CLK320,
contact the tirerack.com to see what the offset is and if they will fit. great price. Has anyone looked at Fikse wheels? Great looking wheels but REALLY expensive. The Classic Aro that I like only cost $945 per wheel. Stephen from GPM performance said he could cut me a deal on a set of four 18x8.5 would be $2,883. (cough, cough) I appreciate the offer but HOLY CRAP. Google them and you can get some blow ups on the detail of the rims. They are really exquisite/beautifu and ultra lightweight.

the 245/45 will probably rub.
you want 225/40 or 235/35 for the front.
you will also need spacers.
the rear will definately rub the INSIDE Tubs w/out a spacer.
you can get away with a 8mm spacer on all 4 wheels.
Im running 12mm front and a 17mm rear spacer for my ET44 wheels.
Cheers!
EDIT: i meant to say 235/35

Thanks socal, yes i did some research and found out that it is possible with spacers.I'm prob gonna do 10mm and 15mm.so fronts 225/40 and for the rears is 265/40 fine.with h&r drop or will I have to put stock springs on?

I am lowered on Eibach Springs and #1 pads ...its pretty low on 19s with 235/35 fronts and 245/35 rears but no rubbing!
the rears have a slight tire-stretch, nothing too aggressive...but
I chose that tire size to avoid "rubbing"..(and it clears very easy even with 4 passengers)
Next tire change i might go with 255mm rear width tires.
I wish I was on 20mm rear spacers.
