Central Locking Pump Code Question?
Neighbor has a CLK320 (2000). He has a no lock/unlock situation with both the keyfob and locking button on the dash. The alarm does set/clears with the key.
Dealer scanned the codes and got:
B1436-014, B1436-13, B1438, B1712
The B1436-014 is Central locking - Pneumatic demand too high or CL pneumatic system leak. Door or Fuel Door. The others were alarm triggers.
So... is the pump fried or is one of the vac lines loose. No pump noise when locking or unlocking. On my 2000 CLK430 get the pump noise when pressing lock/unlock.

There are a lot of different causes to throw those codes. ALLDATAdiy starts out clearing the PSE module then testing the vacuum and pressure supplies.
I wish I had an easy answer for you.
