Possible new owner ...need some help
Hi everyone...Im searching for a good 3rd vehicle more of a commuter and I ran across a 1999 CLK 320. 1 owner car all service records and I'm curious as to the reliability? It has 90K on it how much longer will it go?
I can't seem to find much info on the 1999...any help would be appreciated.

I have a 99/320 and I love it. Only 30K cuz of a 4mile round trip commute and have had no problems. With that many miles though, check the service recs, you will want to consider a 100K transmission fluid change, plugs and wires. also look for brake pad and rotor change. with that many miles also look for tie rod/drag link/steering damper play and control arm bushing wear. any suspension moving parts, shocks, motor and transmission mounts, should be checked. If you can do it yourself you can save big $. the MB dealer in most cases are very expensive. Also, there is a DIY/do it yourself thread for the w208 that covers EVERYTHING.

If maintained, these cars are VERY dependable. Here is a list of things that I know of. The average car will not have any of those items, but I listed everything I have heard of.

90 k miles isn't alot of miles for a mercedes benz product, and if the previous owner/s took care of car with all maintenance perform when due than go for it !!! Remember you need to test drive car no matter how many miles on it (low,or high ) and look underneath the car and check engine for any leaks and look @ those fluids, make sure they are clean and if valve covers are leaking or some minor easy fix problems which you can probably do it yourself, you can still take a chance as long as it runs and drive smooth . But now you can lower the asking price to your favor and pin point anyproblem to the seller if any !! Good luck !!
P. S. also do a car fax report to check for any major accidents on vehicle history report !
