Loud Clunking when turning wheel hard left or right
I've got a 2002 CLK with 75k on it. I had brakes and rotors installed last year. Recently, there's been two things going on.
1.) I notice the smell of burnt rubber every time I pull the car into the driveway after driving...I'm thinking it might be a slightly stuck caliper.
2.) When I turn the wheel all the way to the left or right and go over about 5 mph there's a clunking noise, almost sounds like the wheels are slipping. The car is also pulling to the right and I just noticed the left front wheel is wearing on the outside irregularly.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks in advance!

Many people overlook the steering gear bolts. Here is a link that will explain what to do. It takes about 15 minutes and anyone who can change a tire and owns a torque wrench should be able to do it.
