I think Death Valley claims a record for 134 F and that's supposed to be the hottest ever recorded in North America. I've been there when it was in the 120s and it's brutal. I can't imagine how anyone would be willing to live in a place that frequently reaches that kind of temperature (if they had any choice).

BAHRAIN is a Gulf island, where there is always a breeze and the nights are very cool.
I wonder whether MBs overheat during 110 F temps during the day, or how close to 100 C are the engines running?

I was in Vegas when it was in the 120s. It was almost unbearable to me. Good thing the Luxor has good AC! hangin out by the pool was nice, and I think after about an hour in 124 degree weather i looked like a tomato. Maybe I have some pics somewhere.
