Thanks Steve

Next up will be either an RGB connector or TV tuner, and my RS kit. :0) I'll be sure to post pics when that's all done.

Steve, thanks again for some incredible work. For those of you who know Steve, you know what I'm talking about.

For those that don't, you can't beat his parts prices, or the quality of his work.

I think it's interesting to note that a couple of stealerships that have seen the work Steve has done to my car have actually referred their own customers to me to refer to Steve! His work speaks for itself, and if you can get a dealer to get off their high horse and recommend someone else, that's saying quite a lot!

I had Steve mod my COMAND software so i could represent ;0)

Supra, the mod on the comand system is that the startup screen reads "MBenzNL" instead of "Mercedes Benz"

Felix, the kit is beginning to be prepped this week. It will be going on very soon! :0)

Steve did the install where he's staying in Huntington Beach. I'm pretty sure he's completely booked this trip, but email him and get yourself on the list for his next trip (I don't know when it is). I have to warn you, though, once you catch the modding disease, it will be very hard to stop. ;0)

Yeah, it's a replica kit made of fiberglass. It will require a good amount of prep work/strengthening, but it will look great. FYI, the real RS kits were also made of fiberglass. ;0)

2000 CLK 430 Cab w/Ash/Dark ash leather and Ash top : all options
Question

Josh,
Can you provide more info on those cool front lights you're going to install?
I'm always looking to provide more light; I tend to overdrive my current lights sometimes at night, and would love to know about where, how much $$$ etc.
TIA
Jim

BTW, you're going to love using your iPod now; mine never misses a trip!!

Hey Jim. Those lights are OEM Mercedes Euro Xenon assemblies. They look cooler than the halogen ones because the lenses are clear, and they are brighter and have a much more focused beam pattern than the US spec Xenons. Also, you really can't beat the price. I bought a brand new, never installed set from Steve for about half of what it costs for US xenons even if you're getting a good deal.

oh , really !?
actually , i dun really like the fiberglass , coz it is very easy to get stone chip on it when compare to the stock bumper
the body kit on my ex-supra was fiberglass , and after few times on Hwy , the front bumper got many stone chip indeed , ans since my car is black , very easy to notice those stone chips ....

Yeah there are always drawbacks to fiberglass, but unfortunately, in order to have the Carlsson RS style, it's something I have to live with. I might look into that clear bumper protective adhesive to add some protection from rock chips, etc. Supposedly it's pretty good (I already bought the stuff for my new headlights) but I want to see how noticeable the bumper protector is. If it's only noticeable from up close then I'll probably go ahead and do it.

im not exactly an expert on replica kit prices, but from other quotes ive seen, that seems like a pretty good price, that is assuming the fit is good and everything and it isnt of cheap quality.

is that price just for the kit (still have to pay painting and install) ?

Regards,
Eric
