Installing Suede Headliner
I just ordered 5 yards of suede healiner material in a light grey color to replace my old and falling OE headliner. It is now sagging from the rear passenger area and has finally gotten on my last nerve. I will post up some before and after's for everyone to see.
This might not be exciting for everyone ( I know LOL) but I am excited as hell!!!!
I will try my best at a good DIY for everyone.

And now I understand why you said "Brave Soul"!!!!!!!!!!!! I started taking it apart minutes ago and I already broke the SOS emergency button. The grey plastic was brittle as hellso when I started pulling on it the thing just fell apart. Thats my story and I'm sticking to it. I now have the sides taken off and the rear part of the headliner off but I cant get the mirror off and cant figure out the sunroof part! Man oh man I should have waited. CLKFAN did you have any DIY's I gave up on my DIY since its kicking my ***. LOL
EDIT: Allright slight moment of ANGST...I got everything out now except the rear c-pillars. Everything is laying in my garage now. I will take a pic later tonight. The only piece I broke was that SOS button housing. The red button is good, I just need a new housing for it,,ANYONE??? I need my SUEDE in quickly now..I am anxious LOL.

I think I will do a DIY because our W208's are a little different than the DIY's I have seen. The sunroof part and the rear pillars are the only differences I can think of..oh and the freaking SOS housing as well. Everything else is pretty much the same.

Ok bro'hem...I've done this TWICE!
The mirror is a fun part and you have to pull like you want to break it to get it out. Trust me, it's in there really good and you have to remember to pull it straight down with both hands. Putting it back in is the same thing. It's going to be tough, and you'll have to push extremely hard, but I assure you (as long as you're straight up and down) it won't break.
As far was the sunroof slider, you MUST remove the sunroof off it's henges. There are 3 torx screws that hold it on each side. The slider will now close all the way forward and it too must be removed from the top. You'll see the little clips that hold it in the sliding rail, and all you do is pinch them with a screwdriver or something of that nature and it should pop right out. I pissed the first time I did this and yes...I ripped the MF'er out through the inside of the car. $800 mistake...I swear my anger has cost me thousands of dollars over the years...
EDIT: Sorry, I didn't read your EDIT before I posted...

Headliner just arrived minutes ago!!!!!!
As promised here are the pics of the suede I ordered! It feels awesome and looks even better in person. I can not wait till I get back to install this in my car. I ordered 5 yards and it seems I may have ordered too much but we will see, hopefully it goes well and I end up with too much than needing more.

The guy has really good reviews so I took a chance.
The install has not been done and the car has been sitting in the garage the last 3.5 weeks. I was sent to Arizona (work) and just got back days ago. I have asked for 4 days off to try and complete this project and many others around the house (grass and garage). I need to do it this weekend because I hate not having this done!!
Well...it certainly started that way but time has not been on my side at all. I have a HUGE project that just started at work and I have been made the lead. What this means is LONG hours and and much less play time. Good for my career and bad for my toy LOL.
