CLK 430

locked trunk

Hello,
I have a 99 clk 430, battery was dead and i took it out, now i cannot open my trunk. I have no power anywhere in my ride, and i have tried the dam key(from IR key) to no avail!!

Please help...

CLK 320 (2001) and 2015 GTR

yank your back seat out and get from the inside and open it from the inside.
there is a green button in the trunk. Push it and it will open up.

Open Hood
Install Jump Start Device 12v+ at power source and ground (I like using the shock bolts as a ground)
pop open your trunk
replace battery

I don't think the green button was installed until the 2001 model year.

oh thank u and i did not know that.
i thought the green button was a standard on the benz.

had the same problem here, i ended up going in through the back seat, taking off the bolts that hold it locked..lol,then i just put them back when i put the battery in
