Vibration at 40mph - help

I feel a vibration in the steering wheel at 40 mph. I have done things that have improved it as well as tightened up the cars handling. New lower ball joints, new tie rods (drag link), idler arm repair kit, new bearings and races, new alignment and the rotors were balanced as well. Then I put on new tires and one new wheel as it needed a fair amount of weight to balance and I didn't trust it. All is good but a slight vibration felt through the steering at 40mph. Any advice, getting a little frustrated and broke.

Often when you start to feel vibrations at 40+ (and it continues to get worse at higher speeds), then you:

1) have a bent rim (I ruined more than 1 rim with today's pot holes)
2) are out of alignment

Good luck

Could be the tires....what are you running now?

Also, have you replaced your steering damper?

The tires are new, Hankook Ventus Evo V12, or something like that. The vibration was before and after the new tires, no change. I did not replace the steering damper though, could that help?
