Wiring Diagram for 2001 N52 convertible roof controller

about half the table. A wiring diag will help save a lot of time ripping the car to bits to check colours on micro-switches. Thanks in advance.

As requested, attached is the WIS wiring diagram for the N52 RB/Soft-top controller.
As you noted, during MY2001 production, MB implemented many significant upgrades to the W208/A208.
The upgrades that apply to the updated N52 controller are also included and shown by the month of manufacture.
The quick and easy method to diagnose and troubleshoot a malfunctioning power roof is to operate the power roof to the stage where it fails, where by just disconnecting the wiring harness from the N52 controller, you can then find the position/limit that is not actuating correctly with just a multi-meter.
See post #8 at https://mbworld.org/forums/clk-class...operation.html for further explanation of the procedure as well as the upgrades.

I actually disconnected the plug from the N52 and buzzed out over half the wires, I did actually have a correct wiring diagram for the 5 solenoids on the pump block.
I have suspected the bow lock as being the first trouble spot. Removed just the mechanism off the piston rod, cleaned, re-oiled then spent a lot of time getting the microswitch adjusted. After refitting I noticed the bow lock latch was dragging as it entered the lock. This, I think was not letting the bow section spring away from the lock enough to create an open circuit. After reassembly I now have bow release and raise, cover release and raise, the cover then dropping slowly. I believe the micro switch that detects the cover is raised is on one of the hinges so will investigate that next. Had the car a couple of years and was getting too fit manually operating it so this is good exercise for the brain. Thankyou again for the diag and advice will let you know how I go.
