My 2004 CLK cabriolet get about 14mph and that's as a daily driver.
Stupid car thirsts $4.20 gallon premium here in San Diego.
I have to fill the tank like every 5 days.

Sounds like the same as us over here in san Francisco. Don't worry you're not alone. Also, the price is still going up!

CLK 430: 140,000 miles was about 12mpg Hgwy

but after fresh tune-up: new wire set, 16 spark plugs, air filters, fuel filter/regulator, and New Maf

im now at 27mpg....not bad for a V8.

also reflashed the ECU, it was stuck in transport mode, and set it to original 91RON.

I have yet to change out the O2 sensors...but I'll wait till i get the Check Engine Lights.

You guys over there have it really cheap - 1 litre of super Unleaded is £1.31 in the UK so if my calculations are correct (1 lt = 0.26 US Gallon and $0.62 = £1.00 sterling) it would work out at $8 a gallon as It works out as £5.89 per Imperial (UK) gallon

So I do £70 a week fill up - Road tax £200 a year - Insurance £1000 - car is expensive

Who cares when you put your foot down
