Marcus,
I appreciate your detailed write-up. I've ordered the stuff you recommended and I hope to be bringing the old girl back to fresh-faced again.

Breathing life back into an old post here with a predicament...

I would like to do the same as nellees has done - dying/coloring the seats back to a better color/condition. The issue is, my seat color looks exactly the same as his (alpaca grey). However, my VIN from EPC net as well as confirming with the dealer is '218 Ash' grey. On the dynamix site, 218 is listed as Orion Grey.

Anyone have any suggestions, similar experience or insight?

(I emailed Dynamix with no reply, as well as PM'ed nellees who I would be surprised if replied as this is a bit older)

hi i would try dynamix again, they are normally good at getting back to you, they mentioned to me that if i wasnt sure what colour mine was i could snip a smaple from under the seat and they would match it. in the end i think mine was alpaca grey, just got a small sample pot to try and that was enough , in fact i still have it and will be doing them again, next year.

I greatly appreciate the quick reply! Maybe I'll do that - I'm unanswered on a few emails and twitter message sent their way so I started to wonder...

Thanks again!

Unfortunately I can only assume they are out of business or hanging out on twitter 24/7! Can't get a reply from them no matter how/how many times I try - various emails/from different email accounts (in case one account filters to junk mail), phone, twitter message, etc. Nothing.

While I usually don't trust/take not of it, the site does say at the bottom Copyright 2011. Maybe that was the last time orders were taken and door's have since been closed.

Finally received a reply just now. I'm still a bit miffed as my seats appear to be the same as those which started this thread: 278 Alpaca Grey. Though my VIN says mine are in fact 218 Ash Grey. The dynamix site lists 218 as Oriion Grey, though I have searched and seen some forums which say Ash=Orion.

Any input from others. Yes, I could send a swatch, but I'm in the states, would have to cut out part of the seat and would just assume get the factory color correct rather than match a 10 year old piece which may be faded/dirty/etc.
