What should the temp gauge read in normal driving?

2002 W208 CLK55 AMG
What should the temp gauge read in normal driving?

Mine goes above 80 regularly, is this anything to be worried about? I was going to ask the dealer but he is stupid.

put me in that boat, mines also goes beyond 80.

it is normal for your temperature gauge to read above 80. it should hover around 90 during most drives... you should only be alarmed if it stays above 90 for a long time.
