Car Alarm Questions?

My key-less remote works for the locked, unlocked and trunk open with light flash in silent. My panic is not working, not going to use it anyway. Have a better panic button.

Since the panic does not make a sound, how do I know if someone trying to open my car locked. I try to take it to get an alarm but he dude said no can't do. Only the dealer can handle that. What do I ask for a the dealer. The dude was talking about a sound senor to be attached to the present alarm. Let me k now guys.

99CLK320,
lock the car with with the key and leave the window down, reach inside and open the door and the alarm should go off. If it doesn't then you will proabably have to take it to the dealer for a fix. I have been reading this forum since 05 and I don't think I have ever read a thread on this topic. Try the Search function. Here is just one example using "theft alarm" as a seach word on the W208 forum. https://mbworld.org/forums/clk-class...eft-alarm.html
