Replacing headlamps

I got replacement xenon lights for my clk and was wondering how much work it would be to install them myself. I was told I would need to lower the bumper in order to take out the old headlamp. How would I go about lowering the bumper? Is there anything I should be careful of? Plus, how many screws are on the headlamps themselves? Any information would be helpful. Thanks.

Are you changing bulbs or the whole headlight housing?
