2000 Clk 430 running like ass PLS HELP

It's not uncommon for cheap no-name parts that are asembled in unsupervised third world plants to have a higher total cost of ownership. There's a guy in the C43 section who was ready to dump his heap because it wasn't running. Turns out his "ultra low cost fuel filter" decided two months was long enough and it came apart. The bad filter dropped fuel pressure to the point where is wouldn't run under a load.
The point? Do it right, do it once. Do it cheap and you may do it several times before giving up and hosting a fire sale.
