Fuse keeps blowing

My clk320 2001 keeps blowing fuse #9 in the trunk for the passenger seat. The seat will work for a few times after I replace the fuse and with a day or two it stops, when I check the fuse its burn again.I've changed three fuses for the past 4 days. And I do have the right fuse (25A white),but I'm thinking to put 30A maybe it will last longer.Any suggestions to what can cause the fuse to burn so quick?

It sounds like you have a short in the system. I would not put a larger fuse in as it may create an unsafe condition as a fuse is designed to blow when the wire gets to hot basically. I would pull the seat and check for damaged parts such as wires or motor. Also check the switch and wires there as well. Good luck

Unplug the seat motor and see if it stops. If so, replace the seat motor. The motors are $150 or so retail, and $115 at MB of Annapolis (Internet dealer parts sales).

Seems like everyone's motors are failing....get it replaced. Blowing fuses is the indicator of a bad motor. There are 3 motors. The middle one is the problem. Here's the diy thread http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w208...-fore-aft.html
