Stuck on 3rd gear, now stuck on 1st gear grrrr!
A few days after getting my CLK 230 Kompressor, I noticed the tranny would jerk when shifting from 1st to 2nd then 2nd to 3rd. A few weeks after that, the gear would not shift to 1st gear on initial drive but immediately to 3rd and would stay there without going to 4th or downshift on decelerations. Both of these issues would be completely gone when I turn off the engine and do a re-start.
Now as in right now, after another week I am on the freeway and suddenly tranny got stuck in 1st gear and would not shift to any gear except neutral, park and reverse
I'm now parked in a gas station luckily and waiting for my tow truck
any ideas? Anything serious?

Just wanted to put closure on a thread I started...
The cause of the problem I have described above is the SENSOR PLATE or TRANSMISSION CONDUCTOR PLATE in the transmission. Part numbers applicable...1402700861, 1402700761, 1402701161, 1402700561. Cost around US$250 Dollars in Asia but around US$150 Dollars in the US and EU, UK. Hope this helps.
