Odometer and clock went away?
Dash looked normal, released the parking brake and the odometer and clock went dim? There still there and working but very dim? Outside temp display still working. It's my 1999 CLK 320.

99CLK320,
Bummer. Pull the instrument cluster and check the ribbon connections at the back and press them in. I can't imaging releasing the em-brake would dislodge one of the connections but I suppose its possible. Maybe replace the dash light while you have the cluster out.

Welcome MickM to the forum. A suggestion when you have a question, use the search engine. It will help you answer many questions that have come up before. There are many involving lost pixels/diy repairs or places to have them repaired. etc on the instrument cluster. Here is the one that you need for removal. https://mbworld.org/forums/clk-class...t-cluster.html
Removing the 2 clips sometimes is confusing. Each basically has a semi-circular bar which easily rotates. When you rotate, the clip just pulls off. Look carefully how they are attached so that you don't have trouble w/ re-install. Also, pull steering wheel all the way out or you will not have the space to remove cluster.
