Exhaust note
I heard an M3 take off at full force today, and WOW. It sounded really really good STOCK. Why does MB refuse to make the v6 engine sound as good in the stock form?

the fx45 exhaust note as well as the 350z is just incredible. Wish MB would come up with a more proprietary tone where everyone could just hear the car and say WOW...thats an MB

M3 as well as 3-series in general have horrible exhaust notes... and the engine is whinny and noisy...
if you want loud, do what Lowryder did and cut the muffler off...
I can show you how mine sounded without the muffler, granted its a 430, not even the AMG CLK55...

but I thought it might catch too much attention from cops
plus, I won't be able to
comfortably . One thing for sure, it in no way sounds 
The Eisenmann sounds awesome... and is quiet when cruzin... but after hearing it without the muffler... i sometimes want to cut the muffler off. But the eisenmann is a great compromise between stock vs nothing

R129 SL55 AMG & W208 CLK55 AMG
when i first got my CLK320, it did not have the AMG exhaust fitted, everything else was fitted at the factory. The car sounded nice ( V6 by the way ). After installing the AMG exhaust, it sounded marvelous!
Now, i have the cone filter installed and i absolutely adore the sound my car emitts. Especially because the agressive sound is coming from the engine compartment rather than the exhaust. Thats what i like best. SOUND FROM THE ENGINE RATHER THAN EXHAUST!
