2006 clk 430 cabrio
After Market Stereo Recommendation
I just purchased a 2003 CLK 430 Cabrio (84K miles). I want to put in a new stereo for the wife that has blue tooth and has a connection for the steering wheel controls for volume and other changes. It looked like the steering wheel connection is through a fiber optic line. I went to one stereo dealer that didn't think they couldn't find something that would work.
If anyone has a recommendation I would sure appreciate it.

There are a couple of things most owners who have replaced the factory radio can agree on:
The biggest decision you'll have to make is whether to go with a double DIN or a single DIN. Double DINs are great for watching TV/Movies, navigation, and they do look nice. Functionally, single DINs can handle everything except TV/movies and NAV (due to the lack of screen size). The install is basically the same for both units. If you've ever installed a stereo, it's the same procedure. This is how I did mine.
It's a great opportunity to upgrade from CDs and ditch the 1960's tech cassette.

- Many stereo installers have no idea what they are talking about.
