MPG improvement results.
I replaced the oil, new oil filter, denso irridium plugs, K & N airfilter, Slick 50 fuel system cleaner, correct tyre pressures and I seem to get around 4 mpg improvement. I do mainly short journeys of no more then 30 mins, mix of town and a little freeway, I filled my tank to see how much I would get and it was 326 miles with 29.9mpg average which I think is very good especially with costing nearly £80 to fill the tank ($128) that last about 12 days for me.

That does not add up. If you only made it 326 miles on one tank, thats not an average of 29mpg. 326 divided by 16, which is the amount of gallons our tank holds, so if you went 326 miles on one single tank, using all 16 gallons. you would have averaged just over 20 mpg's. I have gone 500 miles on one tank before all highway and basically 65mph the entire tank. and I averaged 31 mpg's. I dont mean to under mind your experiment. but there is no way in hell, you will ever get close to 29mpg's driving all city....

He has a 230 Komp, different motor than both of you guys so his fuel consumption is also very different than you guys. Komperessor or better know as super charger and also turbos in oem specs make the engine run more efficient and use less gas. and thats the reason whay newer cars are going with smaller engines but turbo and super chargers. you squeez more power and keep it more efficient.

Thanks VIPCLK320 I couldn't have put it better myself.! Don't get me wrong if gas was not an issue then I would get a 320 minimum or look for the 55 but at £1.33 litre which is aroung $9 / US gallon its pricey to fill the tank at about £75 or $120 every week !
I chose the CLK230 Kompressor as I test drove the CLK200 and clk200 Kompressor. The difference without the Kompressor is very noticeable and just too slow. The CLK230 Kompressor is spritley and nimble with really punchy low down kick as well as a decent pull on the motorway at speed.
Interstingly the CLK200 despite being a smaller engine size is not as economic as the CLK230 Kompressor so it was an easy decision !
PS I bought the car in London and flew down to get it initially as I live in Scotland then drove it back. Its a 500 mile journey, I did it non-stop and used 2/3 tank. I get around 620 miles on long freeway journeys and about 320miles on short stop start journeys.
