CLK Climate Aspirator Buzz - Help?

Hi there all, the climate aspirator has started making a loud buzzing noise by the map lights on my CLK55. Is this a common problem?

Just wondering if it's an easy fix or does it need to be replaced?

It only started a couple of days ago but it's bugging me already!

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

James.

The buzz in the dome is from the AC temp sensor. Here's a link on how to clean it, which should resolve the problem.

Marcus that is perfect! Thank you.

I did a fair bit of searching but didn't find that.

There's a job for the weekend.

Will let you now how I get on...

If you have or have a friend with an air compressor and an air nozzle, try blowing a bit of compressed air into the center of the grating. Don't over do it - just blow for a second or two. Eight times out of ten this will clear the lint and dirt that accumulates on the little blower wheel and kill the noise. If the noise still persists, the thermistor (which sits right in front of the blower wheel) may be touching it causing a buzz or the bearings in the fan motor may be going bad (not likely, but possible). Good luck.
