Performance gains from any muffler are negotiable. Changing the entire cat back system would usually yield 3-6HP. The Eisenmann muffler produces a deeper sound, but is not loud. If you want it louder you can remove the resonator which will also yield more performance gains.

I'm selling my RBTech Exhaust System (2 resonators and a dual muffler) if you want something louder.

Hey Mach, does that RB Tech that you are selling comes with a supply of aspirin for the duration of owning it? Man, is that thing loud or what!!!

That RB Tech would be a Twisted Sister versus Eisenmannnn the Limp Bizkit.

Loud is a personal judgement call. While most people tend to prefer the quieter exhaust notes for their Mercedes, I like to let the power be known. It is not a loud obnoxious sound, but a deep throaty sound. I have had several compliments on it, my favorite being, "That doesn't sound like any Mercedes I've ever heard."

Mach,
What are you asking for your exhaust?
How much louder is it? If the stock is a 1 (on a scale of 1-10) what is the RBTech and Eisenmann? Thanks

different performance levels for Eisenmann Exhausts

Mach,
looks like Eisenmann has different performance levels.
Take a look at www.eisenhaus.com

Looks like they have different options. Sound/Tip/Performance

RBTech would be an 8 and Eisenmann a 3. I'm asking $900 for the exhaust (list is 1500).

I have an eisenmann(no resonator) and its not that loud, it also doesnt look that nice. If I were you I wouldn't waste my money on it I would go with mach's rbtech. It probably sounds amazing. IF you are going to get an exhaust for performance and not sound then its stupid. The eisenmann doesn't give all that much sound. Anyway the clk isn't suppose to be a quiet car. And also if you get the rbtech its not gonna sound like one of the those hondas.

First, I own a Honda (Acura) and my aftermarket Comptech exhaust sounds sweet!!!
Second, Eisenmann sells 3 differant exhausts.

Performance Level- Sport, High, Racing

Average %HP Gain 3.3-3.9% 4.1 - 4.7% 6.1 - 6.4%

Average Flow 30.6 - 35.5% 26.1-28.8% 20.2-25.5 %
Restriction
Stock: 43%)

Avg Sound Level 1.8-3.1 3.3-4.7 5.1-8.9
Scale: 10 = loudest,
stock average = 2

Average Weight 25-30% 28-37% 35 - 70%
Reduction %

Mach430, which Eisenmann are you rating?
Thanks FlyR230 for the good info.

SteveZ, I was agreeing with you
And Howard, I have nothing against Honda's. My last car was a 98 Accord V6 Coupe (first of the new models)... red of course. But there is definitely a different sound coming from a 4.3L V8 than a 3.0 V6.
