Outside Piller
Thanks for any input
There is a bolt/screw at the bottom just underneath the rubber gasket that has to be removed. The cover seems to slide upward once the bolt/screw is out. Seems like the piece has a horseshoe clip at the top/middle that slides into a stud. More than likely your just pull out of the catch at the top.
I didn't do mine yet so I don't have experience removing it - just remembered what I read.
another vipclk320 DIY
first look inside(the glss side) you'll see a rubber weather strip, yank the bottom of it out and start pulling it out.
look inside and you'll see a screw, take that screw out
next you'll see a black plastic bracket thats under that screw and has a hole and a slit in it, put a long screw driver in the bottom hole and lide it upwards toward the roof line
now the molding is loose, slowly and getley slide the molding down toward the feder and it will pop right out.
after you tookk it off you will notice 3 different clips:
1. on the top side by side two black round botton looking clips
2. two black square clips close to the window
3. tw white clips square shape that might stay on teh molding or on the body depending on how messed up they are.
in the picture it looks like you only need to change the top two round clips because they push in the screws that are on the body and once they get old the come loose. if i was you i would change all of them to make sure this diesnt happen anytime soon.
once you did do everything in reverse order for install.
