clk brake sensor

Hello all - I am replacing the front brake pads in my 02 clk430 and havent figured out how to get the sensor out of the old pad. The how to in the sticky didnt mention any way to remove it....

does anyone know how to get this bad boy off?

its out, i didnt break it, but perhaps its better to just buy new ones

is it ok to use the beck/arnleys or is this a dealer part is best item?

The sensor is a generic part. The second it sees a ground, its job is done. As long as the replacement part looks the same, there's nothing to worry about.

thanks, i actually just finished the job... no lights seems like a good thing.

i am using the wearever ceramic pads from advanced auto, i havent really jammed on the brakes yet but i did take it up to 60 mph and gently slowed down to 40 a couple of times to try and set them. Not sure if I even need to do that anymore.
