WIS Language
When I set up the WIS I chose English and have been in it a couple of times no problemo. I brought it up this a.m. and its in German and I can't figure out how to get it back to English. Anyone?

You will have to go into the "System Administration" probably in German to reset the languages. Also tick the US English box too and all the wiring diagrams will magically be available

99CLK320,
Prior to my post I searched through every German button I could find to do exactly what you suggested and finally threw my hands in the air. So tonight, after reading your post I booted the program and magically, it came up in English. Go figure. I gotta stop drinking.
What I am trying to find is how to adjust the headlights. I searched the WIS using
"exterior lighting" as the search word, came up to a page but it didn't tell me a thing that was useful or show any pics of the top of the lights or the adjustment wheels. I can see the notched wheels on top of the lights. After pulling the car up to the garage door as close as I could get, I turned on the lights and turned the adjustment ***. I couldn't see any movement in the light projected onto the garage door. After doing a Search a post said to "just turn the screws behind the headlight." What screws? I didnt see no stinkin screws.

I think we're officially in the same boat. One of XP PCs, naturally the one with the WIS, is getting a refresh today. I'm reinstalling XP, Office, Photoshop, the WIS, . . . . . . . EVERYTHING.
I'll try following my own instructions.![rolf](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/rofl.gif)
Whatever needs adjusting will get it

Never worked or even ever seen WIS.
But I have worked closley with other similar apps for other car manufacturers.
Normally lang and other "user preferences" are saved in a flat text file.
I would search the folder that WIS installs to.
E.G. - c:\program files\WIS
or something similar. Once in the folder look for something that will open in notepad.
Again - usually a "blah.ini" file.
If its there. Close WIS. Edit the file I.E. " Lang=eng"
Close and save the file. Then open WIS.
TOTAL SHOT IN THE DARK.
If it does work. Someone wanna send me WIS!

The PC was running slow, so I de-installed a few programs that I never use. One of the de-installs took out a DLL that XP needed and the box wouldn't boot. A fresh copy of XP, and it runs MUCH faster. I still have to install the WIS though.
Good guess but I doubt you'll find the word "lang". It's all in German, so I would guess "Sparchauswahl". Or better yet - The WIS docs are here. If you're in SoCal, I'll burn you a copy. I'll be giving them away at the next local MBCA meet and greet. Those who aren't a member should show up too. You'll never know if you want to join if you never come to an event.
