Pampering the car ready for Summer !

Well Winter is finally away and I have cleaned the car for the first time since Nov 2011 ready for a pamper.
Changed a worn ball joint in the front, polished my summer wheels in the garage and got fresh new tires for them...mmmmm. I bought 20mm spacers for the rear going from 15mm and then put those 15mm ones on the front after a little re-bore at work that was needed.

Happy days the car feels so good to drive !

PS has anyone changed the side light inner headlight bulb (Tiny 5W bulb I think) to something the same brightness as the main beam, so it doesnt look yellow? It should be a simple mod to change the holder etc. let me know what bulb you used.

Got mine from AZN Optics... excellent products and service. They were plug and play no errors.

Do you work at a machine shop? How did you get the rear spacers to fit over the front hub, did you have them re-machined to fit? I have 15mm all the way around, wouldnt mind going another 5mm in the rear. 15 is great on the front, for me.

Im an engineer by trade and I have access to loads of machines at work. I got an apprentice to machine out the inner bore size of the spacer. Mercedes is 66.6m but the fotn hub stick out a little longer so you need to machine out the inner lip on the wheel spacer to get it to fit flush on the wheel hub.

I now have 15mm spacers on the front with 8.5J wheels and 20mm spacers on the rear with 9.5J wheels, no rubing. !
