i dont know if this will help, but i unpluged my battery because i had an issue with my locks, but when i repluged the battery i noticed the ABS and ESP lights were on, so i drove around the block and turned off the car then started it back up and they were gone. hope that helps

After you plug the battery back in, turn the car on, then turn the steering wheel all the way left, then all the way right, then back to center. That should fix it.

Ok if you did that already then it does sound like the brake switch. Check to see if the brake lights come on in the back of the car when you press the brake.

I would first check all the corresponding fuses. If the fuses are good then...

If you listen closely or put your hand on the shifter you can hear or feel the solenoid in the module activating when you apply the brake pedal with the key on. If you don't hear or feel anything you should try a new brake light switch. If you do hear or feel the solenoid then you will need a new selector module.

this was a good read also

I had a bad rear hub bearing that threw those errors all the time. Once the car was on a lift you could grab the back wheel and pull it and it would move. A lot!

Apparently going around turns the wheel would move and throw abs etc lights. Just a thought.

I just had the same identical problem. I too had to override the gear shift lever with a pen. After thinking about it I wondered if the brake fluid could be low. I checked the brake reservoir and found it OK. While there I moved the connector to the brake fluid level sensor. When I got back in and started up all was working normally and has continued to be OK.

Hope this helps.

My bigger problem is my air conditioning. It is really weird. It works only when it wants to. NOTHING I does seems to make a difference. Its entirely erratic.

Sounds like the voltage regulator.
