Replacing City-Light bulbs?

I bought some LED replacement city-lights, but when I attempted to replace the originals I had a really tough time accessing the clips that hold them in place. Does it require the disassempbly of the headlights, and bumper to get adequate access?

No it shouldn't take removing the front bumper to do the job. It is really tight though, have you tried using needle nose pliers or tweezers?

Be careful, the position of the pin on those ligth are not "normal" They are position at 120 degres(approx) if your try to insert a bulb with normal pin position (180 degres) you gone broke the connector. When I've bought my CLK the 2 sockets was broked. I've buy replacement part at Bimmer.com (14.00$ each approx)

I don't know how big your hands are but unless you have Hulk-style hands you should be able to do it all in under 10 mins without tools.

The passenger side is a little tighter than the driver side from past experiences and it takes a little practice to get the orientation and positioning right, but after a couple times of switching them out it's a simple job.

I'd like to replace mine with the LED (or a similar superwhite - the current bulb looks off from the HID's). Anyone know the size?

I just installed LEDs (5000K) to match the factory Zenons and love them. Simple job to install...I did it in the parking lot that I purchased them in with no tools in about 5 minutes. Look up a vendor named AZN Optics on this forum...great guy...if you are in So Cal he will meet up with you. They are around $20 for the set...I did the license plate also (a bit more work to install those).
