HID ballast removal
Thought I'd drop a line here and tell you guys what I did to remove the fried HID ballast on the passenge side.
Pulled airbox out - held down by a few rubber connectors (3), no need to disassemble.
opened headlamp from rear via circular seal (like bulb change)
unscrewed ballast wire retainer (x)
unscrewed headlamp washer retainer 2 (x)-- black plastic, pushed to side
ballast is supported by plastic cage 2 (x) that are accessed from bottom, one needs a snub (x) driver
unclipped power to ballast
pulled ballast out of cage
ebay for used one
I'll post a pic soon.
