No Boot Lights 1999 Cab after shutting boot
Hi All,
From my searches this seems a common problem, basically shut the boot and as soon as I started it, the bulb light out warning kicked in, check and 3rd led brake light is out, as all the boot tail lights, the normal tail lights are OK,
I believe the earth wire (brown) breaks, and fix is to replace the length of wire,
I've stripped the boot lid trim off and wondering what's the best way to do this, (I need to confirm with multimeter first)
Do people unplug all the connectors and pull the wiring through the rubber sleeve into the boot or do it in place,
Any tips would be great?

That was a right pain not too bad stripping the boot trim, but to get enough access to replace the broken earth had to disconnect the central locking air tube, there's probably a special tool to remove the connections but managed it using some large tie wraps to release the tabs, needed to be able to slide the rubber sleeve to access the loom as there's no slack,
The earth cable was snapped in half about 1/4 up the rubber sleeve so we replaced the length and all touch wood, is good,
Took about 3hrs but sure it could be done in an hour next time,
What was odd was the amount of odd things that happened with the earth wire broken, pass mirror kept dipping when stopped rather than just in reverse, all dash lights flashing if engine off but lights on and rear fog light indicator lit when lights on,
