The trunk should open with the silver "manual" key that hides in the main electronic key. Have you tried opening the trunk with that?

If you have a battery charge, connect to positive lead to the post under the x box under the hood near the driver side fuse box. Connect the neg lead to any other metal. Let the vehicle charge for about a half hour or so, then then you can use the trunk opening button on the console, or the key FOB button, to open the trunk, then connect the charger directly to the battery posts.
Sometimes, if your battery is not too low, you can get the buttons to work immediately upon connecting the battery charger.
Also, if you have a booster pack, then it will also get your buttons working quickly.
