Hello all,

I have a CLK 200 Sport Cabriolets 1999 model.

Its been superb until around 6 months ago when it started to miss a beat while travelling at 120 km on an incline. I had a service done and its now awful, its very bad in the mornings and yesterday doing 140km and it lost all power for about a mile before coming till a standstill.

However the quickfire cure is to to turn ignition off and back on again, it didnt do it again for another 50km before doing it again.

Any Advice much appreciated!!

if i take it to a dealer have they got a computer which pinpoints the problem? better than taking it to a local garage?

Yes, the dealer does. The first issue that comes to mind is normal maintenance,but the dealer will tell you if plugs and wires are due/needed.
