Will a CLK55 AMG muffler fit on a CLK430 ???
Hello,
I have a 2001 CLK430 and if i want can get a muffler from a 2001 CLK55 AMG.
Would the twin tip muffler from the CLK55 be a direct swap for the one on my CLK430 ?

It will require some work because the clk 430 and 320 are single in single out how ever the 55 is dual in dual out. So naturally you have only one pipe for the inlet which you will have to use a Y pipe to split it to make it work for the 55. Room is something you won't have much of when you use a factory muffler so it can get very tricky. My advise is just buy a magnaflow or something else that has dual tips. Don't expect any gains in power from the 55 or after market exhaust by itself.

I am considering this change, but I am more concerned with the sound than the look. Does the 55 exhaust sound any different? I don't really want to hack up my stock exhaust, and I kind of like the single big tip. I would like a little more sound out of it.
