Steve is this very smart and apparently great MB tech from Europe that makes money visiting people all over and installing stuff for them. I have never met him and it seems every time he is in the NY area, I am not, but I hear great things about him.
He can install anything for you and get the parts from Europe where they are generally cheaper.
If he comes in NY in August I won't be here but a late Sep/Oct date would work for me, I need NAVI.
BTW, did Mercedes come out with a DVD based navigation? my friend's Acura NAVI rocks!

Steve like the other members said is a great tech. I am still waiting to get the COMAND installed on mine. I went to NY area last time, but could not get the COMAND installed due to the guy that put my other system is screwed all the wires up in the back, but Steve can fix it he said, just waiting on him to come to the Boston/NY area.
He charges from $1300-$2000 for COMAND installs depening additions you want installed and if you want a refurbished unit or a brand new one.
If we get enough people from Boston for COMAND installs, Steve said he would come down that are, so we all do not have to drive up to the NY area.

I just returned from my "last" US trip and will most probably be back in the US during the last week of august and first 2 weeks of september...where and when I will show up depends on the confirmed workload.
I will definitely be installing comands and or MB TV tuners (and whatever else people might need/want) in the bay area and LA area. If the NY/Boston/Washington demand is big enough I will go there as well...but that depends on whatever gets confirmed per mail during the next 2 weeks.

For those who are interested in getting a comand installed and want some additional information about the whats and hows slash whens, please mail me at s_krabbenborg@hotmail.com and mention comand in the subject line so you can sort out for yourself whether you do or don't want comand installed and I know what and when to ship needed parts whereto...especially for the eastcoast people!
