Question US Comand System?
I'm newbie to this bb, I just stopped by my MB dealer and requested a NAV system on my 99 CLK 430. Not possible, they said. I see this Comand system on previous posts, can I get some details? Part listing? Someone that can do this? Can I do it myself?

The guys at your dealership are complete bone heads, because yes, you can install a COMAND in a 99 CLK430, just they are too lazy to do it them selves, yes it is doable, but people ask Steve the Benz God to do it. Thanks. I did have it quoted at a place called Car Toys which does custom work, and they charger 6K! IS that what I can expect?

Steve's goes around 1,300 bucks. Save your 5k and buy some rims and and exhaust, hell drop the car and get some pullies for that kind of money!

Can you do it yourself? It looks like Steve only works the East Coast...or LA...to which Seattle is quite a distance.

I already did 3 comand installs in Seattle...203, 208 and 209...and installed a comand in a Seattle 203 that drove down to the bay area...

6k huh...I need to raise my prices!!!
