Key battery replacement
I just noticed that a little red light flashes on my key when I push any of the buttons. I 've never seen it before. My guess it is because the interanl battery is running low. Now I'm pretty good at DIYing but I can't seem to get my key apart to replace the battery. Anybody?

1. Action the gray button that allows you to slide out the metal key, and remove the metal key from its vertical position.
2. Insert the metal key horizontally, using the edge to lever up the battery carriage. The edge should nestle into a small cavity just below the gray button.
3. Once the battery carriage begins to separate from the key body, use your fingers to pull the battery carriage out of the key body. The levering will lift the battery carriage at an angle. Use your fingers to straighten the carriage from the angle, and to bring the carriage straight out.
4. Note the +/- alignment of the batteries for replacement.

Your owners handbook describes the procedure too. I just read it over the weekend and think it said the red light is normal if memory serves...
