just had the trans in my 98 clk 320 rebuilt by a reputable company. went on a vacation came back to a puddle of tranny fluid on my garage floor. my tranny guy said no prob bring it in. cool, no more leak. took it out of town, it ran great couple days ago i leave my drive way and it won't shift out of first, then the check engine come on then started howling. codes are p0700 and p0730. all this leads to the TCM correct? need help replacing this module. heard something about the adapter. any help would be great.

Yeah, if you just spent a bunch of money at the transmission shop I would go back to them for sure. What kind of warranty did they give you?

Sounds like the leak was from the adaptor and you got fluid up the harness. Pull the plug off the TCU and see if you have fluid present. Its behind the plate in the pass footwell.
