feedback on clk cabriolets
Also, has anyone compared this to the Lexus sc430 convertable.
Thanks
Dan
As for options, I ordered the following:
Heated Seats
Xenon Headlights
Rain Sensor
Two Tone Interior
I didn't get the CD Changer because I'm getting my Pioneer 7300 DVD installed and it won't work. Keep in mind that the options in the US are different from Canada, you get Bose standard in the 430 Cab but in Canada its a $1500 option..
Good Luck
Dan
Anyway the 320 is very quick and in no way feels underpowered IMHO. The ride is also pretty smooth. The only major compliant I have about the car after one month is rear visability. It has the biggest blindspot of any car I have evver owned. Backing out of my driveway is always an adventure!

2002 CLK cab blk/blk

I'm also a fairly new owner of a CLK cab, and while I haven't done extensive driving yet (1,300 miles), so far it's a great ride. I did not drive the Lexus, but did drive an M3 convertible prior to my purchase, and for my needs and tastes, I felt the MB was worth the premium. Both are great cars, though. I was fortunate enough to buy mine for about $6k off list from a South Dakota dealer in January. And so far, zero defects or problems.
It pays to shop around. I've always felt that the winter months are the best time to buy a cab, at least in the upper midwest. The discount I mentioned was off a list price of $82,835 (K2a).
I also received a $5k better price on my trade (a 2000 996 C4 coupe) than the local dealer had offered on the M3 cab. The dealer in Sioux Falls (Vern Eide) commented that he could sell half a dozen Hondas for the money he had tied up in the CLK 55, hence I was able to buy for $500 over his "cost" (prior to the typical factory holdback).
How do you like yours so far? We have relatively rare cars...I understand only about 800 imported.

For me, the toughest part is not being able to put the top down until sometime this May...I live in Des Moines. It's been a relatively mild winter;
only about a foot of snow and a couple of nights below zero (so far). My "everyday" commuter car is an Audi allroad, if that tells you anything.
Enjoy your cab! You live in one of America's premier locales. Been to Humphrey's lately?
What issue of Motortrend is the comparison of the CLK Cab and the Lexus in? I have the most recent issue and its not in there.
Thanks

Is the article on the CLK 430 or the CLK 55? I can't find any article on the 430 in the March issue of C&D.
Thanks
dan
