Chip/ECU questions
Ok so I have seen a few ECU/Chip options on the net and one company claims that thier ECU reflash will net 300hp and 318lbs of TQ on 93 octane fuel. Cost is a staggering 950 or so plus shipping to and from them, but i think the add said something about them covering the shipping in the price. Has anyone heard of Powerchips or is this another one of those BS companies ripping folks off with false claims. The write up did include a dyno sheet readout for the before and after on a stock CLK 430. Any thoughts or suggestions.

2001 CLK55 AMG
HWYSTAR, seems like you have a few upgrade posts for your new to you CLK 430... Which is cool, and it looks like you don't mind throwing a few thousand into it, you may honestly be MUCH better off putting your CLK up on the market and going for an AMG, for an extra couple grand you can pick up 50-60+ HP, get your upgraded braking, and more.

You know my brother in law said that very same thing just yesterday. I will start looking in my area and see what I can come up with. It took me awhile to find this one. And I hate to say it but I am in love with this beautiful machine. Detailed her this morning to showroom shine. I take pride in keeping my baby clean. I just hate that the tire shine crap slings onto the side of the car and it's white mind you, no matter how much you wipe the tires. Lol

1.Chico 55AMG ^ You have a 209, not a W208. Way different setup. MB don't make a 430 W209.
2. Every car respond differently.
3.No stock non prepped before dyno's with any of the Co's claiming 300 hp.
They're using a euro model and only show you an after dyno. No before to prove a true gain.
If they can prove it, that would be real. It doesn't matter which shop or Co. it is. If it's real; as in a bone stock, North American 430 making those claimed just prove it. I doubt anybody is going to take that bet.
BTW if want your to react faster and feel alot faster get a Sprintbooster.

Plus to some say about sprintboosster: It doesn't make your car faster. But it sure makes it more fun to drive. And personally me i like and i have it in my clk55 04,it just make the car more fun with the quick throttle response

OK, I'll bite. What did a Euro W209 55 have, tq/hp before and after? Do you have the print out or video you could share?
I'd be interested to see the difference as long as no additional mods were done in between that would skew results.
I've already seen Youtube 209 55 dyno runs and would like to see your #'s compare with North American
