Xenon Lights

I have a quick question.

What is the difference between the $1500 xenon lights and getting just the xenon light bulbs for like $10?? Is there a difference in appearance during the daytime from the xenon and the halogen lights??

I just want to know if there's a huge difference in appearance as if there is, I'm leaning towards getting the actual lights.

The lenses are completely different to start with...the xenon lights have rather clear lenses compared to the halogen ones...the reflectors are different...lightpattern will be different between oem xenons and halogen lights with retrofitted xenon bulbs...

Also, "Xenon lights" for $10 aren't xenon at all. They're nothing but blue tinted halogen bulbs sold as "xenon style" lights. I bought my OEM xenons from steve and couldn't be happier.

To further confuse it...

Actually, plain H7 bulbs are in fact "Xenon lights"... although the marketers are trying to fool people, they often are telling the truth. Xenon is one of the halides and is used in newer halogen bulbs. For instance, my G500 came with a "newer style" H4 (well the US version, 9003 or whatever) bulb which now has xenon as one of the halogen gases, so those lights are noticeable brighter and whiter than older H4 (9003) headlights.

The difference is really between "incandescent" (halogen) and 'HID" (high intensity discharge).

Steve only sells OEM HID headlights.

I love the "clearer" look of the oem xenons. That is the one add on feature, of all of them, that IMHO makes the biggest difference. Definitely go for the oem xenons if you can.
