Problem with Drivers seat

Hi, I own a 2000 CLK 320 and it is still in good shape except now the
Drivers seat will adjust everything except going forward and backward,
Do any of you owners know what the problem may be. Will appreciate any
help and advice before taking it to the dealership. Thanks and regards
Norman

mine did this/still does this. For months it wouldn't move forward or back. then one day it decided it wanted to work again. the next day it will only move when using the memory functions.

My guess would be a switch issue. Maybe clean the contacts on the switch plug may help.

Mine does this on the passenger side, but I can hear a click under the seat and assume my motor is fried.

Iknow this will sound weird but try tapping on the motor housing when you try to move the seat. This approach works on "sticky" window motors as my armada srivers window is doing the same thing. A light "slam" on the door panel while pressing the switch and presto the window goes back up. lol

Hi, Thanks for all your help. Checked the Trunk fuses and No.6 Left side was
blown. Replaced and everything works fine. Again Thanks

If it shorts again, the fore/aft power seat motor is part number 2088200842 and lists for $160. MBZ Wholesale has them for $130 and it isn't very hard to replace.

Now back to the slam dunk contest
