Are these offsets workable??

Been searching here reading old post to learn about wheels and offset. Found some
17x7.5
17x8.5 wheels I want to buy
with 25 & 37 offset. Not sure what spacers I need if any. I read about what the numbers mean but found nothing on how far one can push the limit while staying safe and keeping a smooth ride.
So with the wheels and offset above will they fit on my clk or how can I make them work.
Thanks to those who offer help.

I get having to move wheels OUT with a spacers but not sure if a wheel can be moved in if needed? Some have mentioned fender rolling as an option.
I checked with the seller and he cleared up that the offset is not a stagggard set up. I misread what he told me. He said he either has all 4 in 37 offset or all 4 in 25 offset. I guess in that scenario the four in 37 is the easiest route?
So if I understand correctly (and I may not) I would need a spacer in 2mm? To make it fit as my current wheels do if going with the four 37mm wheels? Am I correct?
I understand no more stagg with this set up. This is the first car i had staggard anyway. My other mercedes does not have a stagg set up.
You would need a 2 mm spacer to bring it back to 35mm which is the factory spec however, 37m would probably fit as is (depending on the width of the rim) on the front. You have all kinds of room to move on the back. But you may not get the look you want. And, staggered(and someone correct me if I am wrong) means the back rims are wider than the front, usually an inch if it came from the factory that way and would probably wear a different tire size.

I'm thinking since I loose a half inch on the back because of the wheel being 8 rather than 8.5 I should go one more size spacer to make up for the loss 1/2 ".
Hopefully a few more will chime in with opinion and this possible change.
Thanks to both of you.
